Article 1:
The Republic of Iraq shall join the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands signed in the Islamic Republic of Iran on February 2, 1971 and it’s two amending Protocols dated December 3, 1982 and May 28, 1987.
Article 2:
This law shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Justifying Reasons
In view of the desire of the Republic of Iraq to join the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands signed in the Islamic Republic of Iran on February 2, 1971 and it’s two amending Protocols dated December 3, 1982 and May 28, 1987 and in order to sustain the continuity of providing the marshlands, which are included in the list of protected areas, with water, this law was enacted.
