The 1st World Conference for Competencies and Expertise of Iraqi abroad concludes its work, which was sponsored by the COR, on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. The 1st deputy Speaker, The head of the supreme committee of the Conference Sheikh Khalid Atyaa, addressed the final statement of the conference that aimed to prepare database for the Iraqi competences and expertise abroad and facilitate their return to Iraq to contribute in rebuilding the country

Sponsored by the Iraqi Council of Representatives and under the slogan, "Iraqi competencies abroad ... continuity and building" editorial meeting held for The 1st World Conference for Competencies and Expertise of Iraqi abroad, in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Monday, 22nd December, 2008 that will last for two days, the meeting started by reading verses of the Holly Quran and then, the Iraqi national anthem

Headed by Dr. Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, the Speaker, the COR held its 36th  session on Saturday , December 20, 2008 at the Convention Center in Baghdad, the meeting started by reading verses from the Holly Quran and read the names of absence from the previous meeting.

The COR voted by the majority of its members on the draft (the law of the ratification of an agreement between the Republic of Iraq and the United States of America on the withdrawal of U.S.

On Sunday 30/11/2008, Dr. Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, the Speaker, received at his office Mr. Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki

The council of representatives held its tenth session chaired by the Speaker Dr. Mahmood Al Mashdanny at the convention center  Baghdad on Saturday the 20th of September. They started the session by reading verses of the holly Quran
